The Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne takes you on a unique journey through the heart of the Burgundy vineyards to discover all the special features of this historic cultural heritage, unique in the world. Through fun, multi-sensory experiences, you’ll discover the world of wine and vines, the history of each of Burgundy’s wine-growing regions, and the richness of its landscapes, wines and people.
In 2015, the inclusion of the Climats de Bourgogne on UNESCO’s World Heritage List gave a real boost to the project, raising awareness of the Outstanding Universal Value of the Burgundy terroir winegrowing model. The Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins de Bourgogne (BIVB) has created the Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne, a network of three wine tourism sites in three emblematic towns: Chablis, Beaune and Mâcon.
A network of three wine tourism sites, three places to live, in Chablis, Beaune and Mâcon, to represent winegrowing Burgundy in its entirety, from north to south.
